After an accident, a chauvinistic executive gains the ability to hear what women are really thinking.What Women Want is a 2011 Chinese romantic comedy film remake of the 2000 American film What Women Want. The film stars Andy Lau and Gong Li. It was released in China on 3 February 2011, the Chinese New Year.Director Chen Daming managed to unite Gong Li and Andy Lau for their first historic collaboration. The plot is strongly based on the original Hollywood version, with some adaptations to 2010 China. The plot takes place mostly in an advertising company in Beijing, in which slick Andy Lau gets acquainted with his new talented competition, played by Gong Li.
