After a scary volcanic eruption which came down on Pompeii, the small Timo becomes an orphan. He owes his miraculous salvation to the prominent general Kiron, the founder of the legendary academy of gladiators. But Timo himself does not show interest to studies. When grown up, he falls in love with his mentor's daughter - the beautiful Lucilla. But to win the girl's heart, Timo will have to become a real hero.
